Former SPHS Softball Standout Named All-Conference

Freshman outfielder Paige Briganti was named second team All-Conference at Washington College.

A former Severna Park High School softball standout is wrapping up a stellar freshman season at Washington College.

Outfielder Paige Briganti earned second team All-Centennial Conference honors in a vote by the conference's head coaches, according to Washington College’s athletic website.

Briganti, who graduated from Severna Park last year, is hitting .363 this season, good for second on the team, with 23 RBIs, according to a release. Her 49 hits currently ranks second on the squad.

Not only does Briganti rank top among the team in offensive numbers, she is second in the conference in sacrifices (10), sixth in hits, seventh in stolen bases (10) and eighth in runs.

During her career with the Falcons, Briganti was a three-time first-team All-County selection and was named named first-team All-Metro as a senior.

Another Severna Park grad playing on the Washington College softball team is Clare Hofstedt, who is also wrapping up her first season with the team.
