Former SPHS Football Player Invited to Ravens Camp

Steve Demilio, who played football at Severna Park High, received an invite to the Baltimore Ravens mini camp tryouts.

A former Severna Park High School football player has taken a step closer to playing in the NFL.

Offensive tackle Steve Demilio received an invitation to the Baltimore Ravens' mini camp Saturday night, according to his alma mater, Gardner-Webb University.

Demilio played football at Severna Park and was a two-time All-Big South Conference selection at Gardner-Webb, according to a release.

Demilio joins two other Anne Arundel County football players who also took steps towards the NFL. A.J. Francis, a Severn resident and former defensive lineman for the University of Maryland, signed as an undraftted free agent with the Miami Dolphins. And Crofton resident and Arundel High graduate Alec Lemon signed with the Houston Texans.
