Five Questions with SPHS Field Hockey's Rennee Ruppert

Rennee Ruppert is a senior on the Severna Park field hockey team.

Patch stopped by the Severna Park varsity field hockey practice and spoke with senior Rennee Ruppert about her field hockey career, this season’s expectations and her plans for the future. 

Severna Park Patch: What are your goals or expectations for this season?
Rennee Ruppert: I am really hoping that we can come together as a team like we have been doing. It has turned out really well. I want to keep that up and get into the playoffs and win states.

Severna Park Patch: What’s one of the key matchups you have this season?
Ruppert: It's really exciting to play South River again this year.

Severna Park Patch: What was your favorite field hockey moment or experience at Severna Park?
Ruppert: My first ultimate experience was as a freshman when I made the team—that was awesome. Also, cheering our team on from JV when they were at states. That was an awesome experience.

Severna Park Patch: What advice would you give to an aspiring high school field hockey player?
Ruppert: I would tell them to try their best and work really hard. Also, come in really in great shape.

Severna Park Patch: What are you plans after high school? 
Ruppert: I want to major in nursing. I will probably play club field hockey.
