Five Questions with SPHS Field Hockey's Colleen Beairsto

Colleen Beairsto is a senior on the Severna Park field hockey team.

Patch stopped by the Severna Park varsity field hockey practice and spoke with senior Colleen Beairsto about her field hockey career, this season’s expectations and her plans for the future. 

Severna Park Patch: What are your goals or expectations for this season?
Colleen Beairsto: I guess as a team not only to work together on the field, but outside the field too.

Severna Park Patch: What’s one of the key matchups you have this season?
Beairsto: Definitely South River to try and redeem ourselves from last year

Severna Park Patch: What was your favorite field hockey moment or experience at Severna Park?
Beairsto: Last year as a junior, my sister was a senior — so playing with her was fun.

Severna Park Patch: What advice would you give to an aspiring high school field hockey player?
Beairsto: I would definitely say train hard. It may be difficult to stick with it, but it is really worth it in the end.

Severna Park Patch: What are you plans after high school? 
Beairsto: I am not exactly sure what college, but I think I want to become a physical or occupational therapist.
