Fastest American Ironman Drops by Severna Park

Chris Lieto, the fastest American Ironman and one of the top triathletes in the world, stopped by Severna Park last week.

Lieto was the guest of honor during a dinner at the Severna Park Community Center on September 4, and then he visited with fans during a 5K on the B&A trail on September 5. 

The events were organized by Spark Running owner Caitlin Burman, who said she wanted to give some of her customers the chance to meet a celebrity athlete.

Proceeds from the dinner and the run benefitted Leito's charity, More Than Sport, which is a way for athletes to compete and give back to community in need.
