Falcon Field Hockey, Soccer Playoff Bound

The playoff brackets for some Severna Park High School sports have been announced.

Playoff action is heating up at Severna Park High School.

The regular season for many fall sports came to an end last week. The boys and girls soccer teams, as well as the field hockey team, received its draws for postseason play. 

Here's a look at the matchups:

Field Hockey:

The Severna Park field hockey team received a No. 1 seed, which earned the Falcons a bye in the first and second rounds. Severna Park will host the winner of Meade and Arundel on Oct. 28.

Boys Soccer:

After storming through the regular season with a record of 10-0-2, the Severna Park boys soccer team received a No. 1 seed, and a first-round bye. The Falcons will host the winner of North County and Glen Burnie on Oct. 29.

Girls Soccer:

The Severna Park girls soccer team was awarded a No. 2 seed, and will host No. 7 Meade in the first round on Thursday.

The Severna Park volleyball and football teams will wrap up the regular seasons in the coming weeks.

Volleyball travels to Northeast on Tuesday, and will finish the season at home on Thursday when the Falcons face Glen Burnie.

The Falcon football team still has a few weeks of play remaining. Severna Park has matchups with South River, Northeast and Old Mill to end the season.
