Falcon Boys Soccer Captures Lone Victory Over Broadneck Thursday

The Severna Park girls soccer, field hockey and volleyball teams all fell to Broadneck on Thursday.

Multiple Severna Park sports teams took on rival Broadneck High School Thursday night, but only boys soccer came away with a victory. 

The Falcon soccer team topped Broadneck 1-0 Thursday evening to improve their season recored to 7-2. Miseker Wingate scored the lone goal for Severna Park in the victory, The Capital Gazette reported.

The Bruins handed the Falcon field hockey team its first conference lost of the season Thursday night with a 2-0 victory. The two teams already met once this season on Sept. 9, when Severna Park edged the Bruins 1-0.
In what was somewhat a surprise victory, No. 5 Broadneck volleyball swept No. 2 Severna Park in three sets, 25-22, 25-18, 25-13, The Baltimore Sun reported. The loss was the Falcons first on the season. Last year, Severna Park defeated Broadneck for the first time in several years, but the Falcons weren't able to mach their efforts this year. 
The Severna Park girls soccer team also fell to Broadneck on Thursday 1-0, thanks to a penalty kick from the Bruins, The Capital Gazette reported.
Looking ahead to Friday night, the 3-1 Severna Park football team will host Meade at 6:30 p.m. It is the Falcon's homecoming game.
