This certified race will benefit The Annapolis Boys & Girls Scholarship Trust (ABGST), an affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County and is sponsored by Fleet Feet Annapolis, Douglas Commercial, SRT Technologies and Kahan Center for Pain Management.

The Annapolis Boys and Girls Scholarship Trust was established in 2000. The Trust provides financial support for members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County to attend college after graduating from high school. Over the last ten years, ABGST has provided financial support for twenty five students so they could attend universities and colleges throughout the United States.

The ABGST also provides financial assistance for two students to attend Gordonstoun International Summer School in Scotland each year. Gordonstoun is one of the world’s most prestigious independent schools in Great Britain. The Summer School provides a full range of academic courses and the program provides tremendous opportunity to develop international friendships and to learn about other cultures.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (BGCAA) was founded more than twenty years ago in Annapolis by a group of concerned community members who felt there was a need for neighborhood youth to have a positive place to grow, learn and have fun. The mission of the Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Club currently operates in six locations throughout Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
