Falcons miss chance vs South River Friday night

SP Falcons 4-3 on the year, missed a chance taking on the 2-5 South River Seahawks.

The Seahawks came out throwing and quickly went ahead 14-0 in the 1st quarter.  But the Falcons were not to be denied.  #24 Kieran Jenkins took the snap and rambled into the end zone to make it 14-7 after the 1st quarter.  SP wouldn't stop there and increased it's lead 20-14 at halftime.

The Seahawks Defense stepped up and made stops only allowing the Falcons to score once in the 2nd half.  A 40 yard field goal by #75 Soellers of South River put the Seahawks back on the board and they would never look back finally winning 36-27.

The Falcons kept fighting and intercepted a pass by #11 Luke King who did his best Ed Reed impression by laterling the ball to trailing DB who couldn't handle the pitch.  It was recovered by the Falcons but the Offense couldn't convert the turnover into points.

Falcons fall to 4-4 and host the 2-6 Northeast Eagles next Friday.  This is the last home game of the year and Senior night.  Come on out and enjoy the hot chocolate and crisp autumn air,  $5  still gets you in the door and root on the Falcons.
