Bruins maul Falcons homecoming weekend

5-1 Broadneck hosted a 4-2 Severna Park squad on Homecoming Saturday.   Severna Park needed a win to stay in the Playoff chase.   After a SP defensive stop the Bruins punted to SP, when the ball was lost on a fumble and the Bruins capitalized and scored several plays later.  halftime score was 21-0. Bruins.

SP took opening kickoff and 10 plays later scored their first TD of the day and first points vs. Broadneck in 3 years .  Xp failed,  21-6.  This would be the closest SP would get to Broadneck this Saturday.

Final score was Bruins 52- Falcons 12.   No excuses as the Falcons needed to play near flawless ball and were unable to do it.  It's a shame to see this team constantly be behind the 8-ball and have to go against the other team and the officiating crew.  The worst calls and shoddy spotting of the ball I've ever seen.  It's time for AACO referees to be held accountable for their inferior officiating.  They should never be in a position to determine who should win a game, ever.  But week after week it seems to be the case.  Whatever governing board they report to should be made aware. It's a shame that it comes down to that.  7 games into the season these officials should be getting better at this, not worse.

Falcons (4-3) take on South River (2-5)at home next week.  Come on out and cheer on SP!  3 games left in the season!
