With Thursday night's snowfall shaping up be the first significant accumulation of the season, parents and children across Anne Arundel County want to know one thing: Is school cancelled on Friday?
The decision is in—Anne Arundel County Public Schools and offices are closed Friday due to inclement weather.
AACPS has declared a Code Red, meaning only Unit III personnel are required to report for work.
Anne Arundel County government offices and courts are opening at 10 a.m. The county's liberal leave policy is in effect for employees.
The federal government is also open Friday, but workers have been have been granted unscheduled leave or telework, according to the Office of Personnel Management website.
