Tornado Watch Affects After-School Programs
A tornado watch has been issued for Anne Arundel County until 5 p.m. Monday.
After-school activities across county schools have been moved inside due to inclement weather, a school system spokesman said.
Anne Arundel County Public School System spokesman Bob Mosier said due to the tornado watch issued for Anne Arundel County until 5 p.m., all school-sponsored activities are to occur indoors. Outdoor activities must be moved or canceled.
The storm would not affect school dismissal times, Mosier said.
Anne Arundel County Department of Parks and Recreation also announced that all fields, including high school turf fields are closed.
