Severna Park Man to Head Citizens Advisory Committee

Thurman Reynolds of Stewart's Landing is the new chairman of the countywide group.

Thurman Reynolds of Severna Park has been elected the new chairman of Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Countywide Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC), according to a press release.

The CAC will meet 10 times in the 2012-2013 school year. Reynolds, who represents elementary schools in the Severna Park cluster on the 29-member panel, succeeds LaToya Staten.

"I am excited for the opportunities that the upcoming year will provide for our countywide CAC. LaToya Staten did a great job as chair for the CAC's first year leading the new organization and we look to build on her progress," Reynolds wrote in an email to Patch.

"I hope those with issues or concerns will use the CAC website to forward them to our group. The site can be accessed from the AACPS home page under the 'Community' tab," he wrote.
