Kicking It with SP Soccer's Carly Snyder

Carly Snyder is a senior on the Severna Park High School girls varsity soccer team.

Patch stopped by the Severna Park varsity girls soccer practice and spoke with senior Carly Snyder about her soccer career, life at SPHS and her plans for the future.

Severna Park Patch:
What was your favorite experience playing soccer at Severna Park High School?
Carly Snyder:
It is kind of broad—just hanging out with my teammates and the coaches. You get made fun of when you fall down with the ball and it is just a fun, family-like experience.

Severna Park Patch: What athlete would you say you idolize and why?
Snyder:
Probably my brother. He is a goalie for Navy soccer and he has been through a lot and had some injuries but he is still playing. I think he is a great athlete all around.

Severna Park Patch: What do you like to do besides soccer in school or outside of school?
Snyder:
I sing. I have been singing since second-grade. And I am a really big family girl and I like hanging out with my friends.

Severna Park Patch: What was your favorite class that you took at Severna Park High School?
Snyder:
Probably calculus because I love my teacher Ms. Jones. She is a hoot. She makes you laugh and she makes learning so much fun.

Severna Park Patch: What are you plans for next year?
Snyder:
I think I am going to end up at Liberty University, which is a Christian school in Lynchburg. I really like it. It is a D-1 school so hopefully I can play soccer—I don’t know—maybe club soccer.
