Jones Elementary Drama Club to Perform 'Annie Junior'

Tickets are on sale to the public for the musical being held at the Severna Park school.

The musical Annie Junior, based on a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents who left her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage, will be performed by the drama club on March 2 and 3.

The public is invited to the performance. Tickets are $5 and concessions will be available at the school, located at 122 Hoyle Ln. in Severna Park.

The cast and crew are made up of fourth- and fifth-graders, and led by director Joe Thompson, a seasoned actor and director whose experience includes work with groups such as the Colonial Players and , according to the release.

Managing this production are club co-chairs Barbara Kalafos and Bonnie Levin.

Show times are 7 p.m. March 2, and 1 and 7 p.m. March 3.
