Fort Smallwood Wreck Sends Three to Hospital

School buses were also delayed as a result of the crash, school officials said.

Three people were hospitalized after an early morning car accident on Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena.

The fire department arrived on scene at 6:50 a.m. to the wreck in the 9000 block of Fort Smallwood Rd., near the Compass Pointe Golf Course.

A 40-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy were sent to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according Lt. Cliff Kooser of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. A third victim, age and name unknown, was sent to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries.

The accident caused traffic delays throughout Pasadena, including school bus delays. The Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) issued notices to parents that school buses to Chesapeake Bay Middle and Fort Smallwood Elementary schools would be delayed.

“All buses will make all stops, and schools will make appropriate arrangements for students who are late to school this morning because of the delays,” according to the AACPS release.
