Falcon Tennis Team at 5-0 Record

Severna Park High School tennis coach Jessica deGraffenreid Goodman reports to Patch on the recent win over Broadneck.

The Falcon tennis team had a big win against Broadneck on Friday, bringing their record to 5-0. SPHS won six matches to three.

"This was a heavily anticipated match by both sides, and very well attended," Jessica deGraffenreid Goodman wrote in an email to Patch.

"I am so incredibly proud of these athletes."

"They have worked really hard since the beginning of the season, knowing that it would be an uphill fight to their seventh straight regular season county title." 

"Yesterday, I saw courage, integrity, and sheer athleticism from our players. After an injury late in the first set, captain Trey Albers (Sr.) battled back to win the #1 boys doubles match in three sets with his partner, captain Paul Balleza (Sr.)."

"Their win was nothing short of spectacular. Broadneck put up a good fight and we're excited to meet them again in the post-season county tournament," wrote Goodman.
