Falcon Football Players Honored at Annual Banquet

The banquet was held on Tuesday, Nov. 6 and honored varsity and junior varsity football players.

Severna Park High School varsity and junior varsity football players were honored at their annual awards banquet on Nov. 6 at Woods Memorial Church, and many Falcon athletes were recognized for their acheivements.

2012 varsity football award winners:

  • Sherman S. Robinson Scholar Athlete – Michael Minter
  • George Roberts Defensive MVP – Luke King
  • Wayne Mook Offensive MVP – Cole Duncan
  • Frank Lafferty Unsung Hero – Jack Kenealy
  • Jerry P. Hines Sr. Inspiration – Owen Kiriazoglou
  • Buzz Purdy Essence of Character – Sam Mayer
  • Andy Borland Leadership – Sam Ziff
  • Robert Ferris Offensive Lineman of the Year – Calvin George
  • Tom Williams Defensive Lineman of the Year – Rodney Hungerford

2012 junior varsity football award winners:

  • Offensive Most Valuable Player – Cole White
  • Defensive Most Valuable Player – Paul Kalafos
  • Valuable Player – Kevin Bloom
  • Sportsmanship Award - Brett Pohlmeyer
