Magnet Programs Information Session

The Office of Advanced Studies and Programs of Anne Arundel County Public Schools announces its annual Information Session for Magnet Programs.  This event will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 6 PM in the auditorium of Old Mill High, 600 Patriot Lane, Millersville, MD 21108.  The information session includes overall information for current 5th and 8th graders for the following Magnet Programs: BioMedical/Allied Health (BMAH), Centers of Applied Technology (CAT), International Baccalaureate (IB/MYP/DP), Performing and Visual Arts (PVA), and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).  This year, those students who would normally attend Chesapeake Bay Middle, George Fox Middle, Old Mill Middle North, Old Mill Middle South, and Severna Park Middle Schools will have the opportunity to apply for STEM Middle School, slated for Old Mill Middle South.   Additional STEM Middle Schools are slated to be opened in the future, pending budget and approval.

In addition to the main information session at 6PM, three break-out rotations of 20 minutes each for individual Magnet Programs will be available for parents to attend.  

Students apply at http://www.aacps.org/magnet beginning October 1 and ending at noon on November 30.
