On September 6, 1962, Benfield Elementary School opened its doors to their first students. We are celebrating today to mark the 50th anniversary of the school and all of its accomplishments. County Councilman Dick Ladd and other Board of Education members with be in attendance along with the staff and students to celebrate this special occasion. The PTA will be celebrating the 50th year with events over the upcoming school year.
