Checking in with Severn Football Senior Mike Dennin

Mike Dennin is a senior tight end for the Severn School's football team.

Patch stopped by Severn School’s football practice and talked to senior defensive tackle Mike Dennin about football, school and his plans for the future.

Severna Park Patch: What is your fondest Severn football memory?
Mike Dennin: I think the beginning of this season. Unfortunately, I got injured last year during the first game and missed the season. Sophomore year we got blown out by every team, but this year, to start off as well as we have, it means a lot to the school and the football program.

Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite professional football team? Who is your favorite player and why?
Dennin: The Baltimore Ravens, and I have to go with Ray Lewis. I like the tenacity he brings on the field.

Severna Park Patch: What else do you participate in at Severn besides football?
Dennin: I am also on the basketball and lacrosse teams.

Severna Park Patch: What’s your favorite class and teacher at Severn?
Dennin: I have to go with econ. I am taking it this year and it is taught by one of the coaches on the team, Mr. Bodley. I want to major in econ in college and he has kept my interest strong and has definitely sparked it more.
