Chatting with SPHS Field Hockey Senior Adley Beairsto

The senior field hockey star said beating South River last year in the playoffs is one of her favorite memories.

Patch stopped by the varsity field hockey practice and spoke with senior Adley Beairsto, 17, about her field hockey career, life at SPHS and her plans for the future.

Pasadena Patch: What is your favorite Severna Park field hockey memory?
Adley Beairsto: My favorite one from last year was definitely beating South River in the playoffs because we lost to them twice during the season, then we came back and beat them in the playoffs to move on to states. It was just amazing. One of the seniors from last year gave this big speech and we were all crying in a circle before we went out there. When we walked out onto the field it was the most intense thing and so exciting.

Pasadena Patch: After winning the Maryland 4A field hockey championship last year, what are your expectations for this season?
Beairsto:
We have to bring back the state title.
