5 Things You Need to Know, Week of Sept. 17

Patch offers a rundown of things you need to know this week including the potential for some severe weather.

To help make your week easier, Patch has compiled a list of things you need to know for the upcoming week.

1. The weather
According to The Weather Channel, there is a chance of storms on Tuesday that could be severe. Temperatures will hover around 80 and there is potential for strong winds and heavy rain. After that, things should clear up with temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s throughout the week.

2. News from the weekend
The Severna Park Falcons defeated the Annapolis Panthers Friday night 26-23 in overtime. Falcon kicker Jack Kenealy hit a 27-yard field goal to seal the deal.

4. Soccer doubleheader
The boys and girls varsity soccer teams will both compete at Severna Park High School on Thursday evening. The girls will take on Chesapeake High School at 5 p.m. and the boys will follow at 7 p.m.

5. Conquer Chiari walk

Local teen Megan Killpatrick has help organize her second walk to conquer Chiari—neurological disorder. Those interested in walking can register online. The walk will take place at 9 a.m. Sept. 22 at
