Patch offers a rundown of things you need to know this week including events, weekend news and weather.

To help make your week easier, Patch has compiled a list of things you need to know for the upcoming week.

1. The weather
According to The Weather Channel, there is a chance of isolated storms Monday afternoon and Tuesday. After that, things should clear up with temperatures in the low 80s on Wednesday and upper 80s toward the end of the week.

2. Back-To-School
It's that time of year... elementary students, sixth and ninth graders went back to school Monday morning and the rest of the students will head back to the classroom on Tuesday. Expect some delays on local roads this week as buses and parents get back into the school routine. Also, watch out for kids at local bus stops.

3. Biggest story from the weekend
A Baltimore woman was . Police said Catherine May Guthrie, 81, died Sunday as the result of injuries sustained in the accident.

4.
Wooden Nickel Park will sponsor a Kid’s Fun Fest and 1K Fun Run at on Sept. 8, according to a press release. The Fun Run will begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by face painting, games including a frog toss and limbo log, and hay rides.

5. The Cougar football team will host their first game at home on Friday against South River High School. The team finished the season last year with a 5-5 record, despite going 3-27 over the three previous years.
