Two Severna Park High Athletes Named All-Metro

Emma Staisloff and Sam Pershall earned Baltimore Sun All-Metro honors.

Two Severna Park High standout athletes have been named to The Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro teams for track.

Senior track star Emma Staisloff earned first-team All-Metro honors. And Sam Pershall was named second-team All-Metro for indoor track. The Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro team recognizes top athletes from area schools.

According to The Sun, Staisloff won the pole volt competition in most of her events, but lost to Chesapeake's Sarah Taylor in the Class 4A state meet. She set a record of 10 feet, 6 inches with her winning performance at the Anne Arundel County championship.
