POLL: Should Severna Park Stay Together in Redistricting?
One of Gov. Martin O'Malley's adjustments to the advisory committee's proposed map would keep local residents together.
Severna Park may stay united after all, in the decennial state redistricting map unveiled Wednesday by Gov. Martin O’Malley, according to The Capital.
Upon reading the maps for the first time, Republican Delegate Tony McConkey proclaimed, “Severna Park is reunited,” The Capital reported. The articles says the advisory committee’s plan would have divided Severna Park into “three large chunks.”
The General Assembly has 44 days remaining to amend the plan, or it will take effect for the 2014 election.
