National Trivia Day: Do You Know Severna Park?

It's National Trivia Day, so we're taking some time to quiz residents on their knowledge of the community.

Everyone loves a pop quiz right?

Before you run away in horror, it's important to know that Friday is National Trivia Day. This makes it a great day to test your knowledge of the area.

Here are 10 questions. Some of them may be easy. Others may require a little bit of research here on Severna Park Patch or elsewhere.

I have some Patch gear that I can deliver to the first person who can provide all of the correct answers in the comments section. If no one gets them all correct, I'll give the prizes to whoever posts the best score.

Question 1: Name a professional baseball player from the Severna Park area.

Question 2: What fast-food chain will be replacing the old KFC on Ritchie Highway?

Question 3: What elementary school recently celebrated its 75th year in the building and the 160th year on the property?

Question 4: What game show host is from the Severna Park area?

Question 5: What was the name of Severna Park High field hockey coach who had 546 career wins, and 20 state titles?

Question: 6: What local eatery uses a pig as its mascot?

Question 7: What local business owner appeared on WBAL-TV cooking up Ravens-centric recipes?

Question 8: Who was the local business owner that donated a truck to help take supplies to Superstorm Sandy victims in New Jersey?

Question 9: What was the name of the Severna Park man who lived the movie Argo?

Question 10: What local business lines the walls with photos of more than 300 area athletes?

This contest closes Monday at 8 p.m., and then I'll announce the winner. Have fun!

I am not able to do all the trivia without peeking at someone else's answers, but did want to mention Erik Milton, who played for the Cincinnati Reds and LA Dodgers also lives in SP. Rumor has it that he is going to be the SPHS baseball coach also.
