Early Voting Returns on Wednesday

After being canceled on Monday and Tuesday for Hurricane Sandy, early voting at the Severna Park Library will resume Wednesday morning.

Early voting in Severna Park and across Maryland will resume Wednesday morning with extended hours.

Residents wishing to vote early can go the the Severna Park Library from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Gov. Martin O’Malley canceled early voting on Monday and Tuesday due to Hurricane Sandy. To make up for lost time, polls will be open for additional hours on Wednesday and Thursday, and will be open on Friday.

Early voting hours were originally 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.—with no scheduled times on Friday.

During a press conference at Maryland Emergency Management Agency’s headquarters in Reisterstown on Tuesday, O’Malley said those standing in line by 9 p.m. will be able to vote.

Early voting lines on Saturday were reported to be very long throughout the area. Voters should expect similar long lines on Wednesday.
