Christmas Tree Recycling in Severna Park

Anne Arundel County offers tips for how to prepare your pine for pick-up after the holidays.

There's nothing like the excitement of decorating and unwrapping presents by the tree. But once Christmas comes and goes, it may be tempting to quickly toss the tree to the curb with the empty boxes and ripped wrapping paper.

To avoid making a mess and having needles in the carpet, tree experts suggest purchasing a tree disposal bag from a local hardware store and carting it out in the bag.

But before you do, Anne Arundel County has some guidelines for you to follow when disposing of your tree.

Christmas trees, natural garland and wreaths will be collected on your regular recycling day and should be placed outside by 6 a.m.
