Storms pounded the region on Monday, causing one death in Anne Arundel County, and another round of nasty weather is predicted for Tuesday afternoon.

An Annapolis woman boating in Monday’s storm was found dead in the water by the Maryland Natural Resources Police, and her companion is missing.

The Baltimore Sun reports Brigette Marchand, 42, of Annapolis died in the storm, while David Frantzen, 40, of Pasadena is reported missing.

Natural Resources spokeswoman Candy Thomson said the couple left Sunday between 10 a.m. and noon, and their boat was found washed up on the rocks at Sparrows Point.

More storms are expected to move through most of Maryland on Tuesday evening. WBAL TV says they could bring strong winds that could cause damage, as well as some heavy downpours.

The storms are expected to creep over the western Maryland mountains and turn into thunderstorms any time after 3 p.m. They're expected to drench the Interstate 95 corridor around 5 p.m.
