Severna Park Victim Was Targeted, Unhurt in Shooting, Police Say

The incident was not random, the Anne Arundel County Police Department reported.

Shots were fired at a man outside a Severna Park home, but no one was injured, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The incident Wednesday night was targeted and was not a random act of violence, according to Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesman Justin Mulcahy.

At approximately 9:36 p.m., the victim said he heard someone walking outside his home in the 100 block of Dennis Road, according to the report from police.

When the 32-year-old resident went to investigate, he encountered two men, one of whom fired several rounds at him, according to the report.

Police responded after receiving multiple reports of shots fired, the report stated.

Investigators found several casings at the scene, police said.

Police, including K-9 officers, canvassed the area but were not able to find the suspects, according to the report.

Police said the investigation was being handled by the Eastern District of the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
