Police Search for Man Believed Drowned, Missing on Magothy

Police say a Michigan man who recently moved to Annapolis is missing.

Natural Resources Police are searching for a man who jumped from a boat Thursday and is believed drowned in the Magothy River near Arnold.

According to a report by WBAL-TV, police say that Nate Young, 27, of Annapolis, "jumped from a 20-foot pleasure boat near Dobbins Island on Thursday evening, but did not come back up."

Police were called to 1067 Shore Acres Road in Arnold, it states.

"Anne Arundel County Fire Department Division Chief Keith Swindle said officials are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the incident," the report states.
