A Columbia man has been charged with carjacking, robbery, assault and motor vehicle theft in connection with an incident at Arundel Mills Friday night, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said.

Police said Isaiah Perry, 29, of the 5600 block of High Tor Hill in Columbia, asked a woman for money as she was standing next to her vehicle in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle—and when she said she didn't have any, he pushed her inside the car.

A struggle ensued and the woman was able to get out of the vehicle, according to the report. The suspect drove off in her car, which was equipped with a LoJack tracking device, police said.

At approximately 10 p.m., the victim—a 36-year-old woman from Glen Burnie—called police, who partnered with mall security to identify the suspect using surveillance footage, according to the report.

Officials from the Howard County Police Department helped find the vehicle, and police from Anne Arundel and Howard arrested Perry at his home without incident, the report stated.

"This case highlights the collaborative efforts of law enforcement partnerships and state-of-the-art security and surveillance," Anne Arundel County Police Chief Kevin Davis said.

"This is yet another quick case closure as well as a notice to bad guys," Davis said, "that we work together to come after you quickly if you commit crime in Anne Arundel County."

I am so sick of these young hoppers thinking the world owes them something . Go get a Job and work for it !!!!!!!!!!!! I have had problems with Drugs and alcohol as a young man and have been clean by the grace of God for over 14 years but I have always worked and screwed up my own future and never took anything from anyone. These kids now days have a totally different out look they feel as though we all owe them something . This guy should get life for this . I believe anyone who can harm a woman or strong arm a woman has many more crimes up there sleeve's in the future so why not nip it in the bud and put this guy away .
