Man Charged in 7-Eleven Store Robbery, Slashing Pedestrian's Face

A Baltimore man has been charged for robbing a 7-Eleven store and shooting the clerk with a BB gun, as well as slashing the face of a pedestrian last month.

A Baltimore man arrested for shooting a Brooklyn Park 7-Eleven store clerk with a BB gun during a robbery is also believed to have slashed the face of a pedestrian in a separate incident, say Anne Arundel County Police.

Police said George T. Porcella, 29, of Baltimore, displayed a gun and demanded money at the 7-Eleven at 4000 Ritchie Highway around 5 a.m. on March 30. The suspect left without any money after shooting the clerk, police said.

Officers arrested Porcella April 2 for the store robbery based on a tip to Metro Crime Stoppers. He was charged with attempted armed robbery, reckless endangerment and first-degree assault.

Information revealed during the robbery investigation led police to believe Porcella was responsible for slashing the face of a person walking in the area of Meadow Road and Belle Grove Road on March 13.

Porcella was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure from that incident.
