A Severn man was arrested for theft after he allegedly made use of an open car window to steal gadgets from a parked car in Odenton.

Anne Arundel County police officers were called about 5:30 a.m. Monday to the area of Arcadia Shores Circle and Hidden Hill Circle in Odenton for a report of someone tampering with a vehicle.

An off-duty officer detained the suspect, who had reportedly stolen a set of headphones and a cell phone charger cord from a Volvo with a window down.

Suspect Kevin Nehemiah Butler, 20, of 1863 Eagle Court in Severn, was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation-theft under $100 and a summons for theft between $1,000 and $10,000.
