Crash Causes Power Outages in SP Communities
Fire officials say the crash occurred on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard Monday afternoon and some residents lost power for almost six hours.
A car accident on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard Monday afternoon caused power outages in local communities, authorities said.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton said crews responded to the intersection of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Lower Magothy Bridge Road at 4:28 p.m. for the report of a crash. Hamilton said a car collided with a pole.
"We requested help from BGE because there were dislodged wires as a result of the crash," Hamilton said.

A resident of Stewart's Landing in Severna Park told Patch parts of the community lost power until after 10 p.m. Residents in Berrywood also lost power on Monday evening.
"It did cause a power outage to about 900 people," said Rachael Lighty, a spokeswoman for BGE. "Our crews were able to complete repairs to the pole and restored service by 10 p.m. last night

Hamilton said the person involved in the crash refused treatment at the scene and was not transported.
