Attempted Abduction in Severna Park on Monday

Police are seeking suspect in alleged attempted abduction of Severna Park High School Student.

A man in a green pick up truck tried to abduct a 15-year-old girl as she was walking to school in Severna Park this morning, according to police.

The girl was walking along White Oak Drive near Cedar Road on her way to Severna Park High School around 9:30 a.m., when the man grabbed her through the window frame of his truck, the girl told county police.

She broke free and ran to school, where she reported the incident, a police release said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white man in his 40s with a dark complexion, medium build and short, dark hair, according to police. He was last seen wearing mirrored sunglasses and driving a dark green, older model two-door pick up truck with tinted windows.
