Armed Robbery Attempt at Millersville Shoppers Under Investigation

A man with a "security" jacket attempted to rob a Shoppers Food Warehouse in Millersville Monday night, the Anne Arundel County Police Department reported.

At 10:40 p.m. on Monday, officers from the Eastern District responded to the store at 670 Old Mill Road for an attempted armed commercial robbery, police said.

An employee told police that a man implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the business, according to the report. The man left without any money or property and nobody was injured, the report stated.

Police searched the area but could not locate the suspect, who was described as a heavyset black man between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5'6", with dreadlocks, wearing a black jacket with "security" on the front right chest area and a black baseball hat.
