3 Injured in Accidents in Severna Park

There were two accidents on Ritchie Highway on Thursday evening. The first caused a southbound road closure, and in the second one, the vehicle flipped over.

 

Three people were involved in a crash at 8 p.m. Thursday when a sedan driven by a woman hit the back of a pickup truck on Ritchie Highway, south of Cypress Creek Road, authorities said.

All of the victims were taken to Anne Arundel County Medical Center with minor injuries, according to Lt. Keith Hamilton of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The accident caused Ritchie Highway to be closed southbound for a short time.

Another accident occurred a short time later on Ritchie Highway northbound at about 9:30 p.m. in front of the when a car flipped over. The driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own and there were no injuries,  Hamilton said.
