The Dragun Science Building on the Arnold campus and the Glen Burnie Town Center were both evacuated and searched this morning.
The Dragun Science Building on the Arnold campus of Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) and the Glen Burnie Town Center were both evacuated around 9:45 a.m. this morning after a bomb threat for both buildings was called into the AACC Public Safety Department. The call was recorded.
“We followed the proper protocol and alerted the county police who alerted the county fire department,” said AACC spokesperson Laurie Farrell. “Safety is a priority here at AACC and all of our emergency procedures were put into place.”
Farrell said that AACC Public Safety officers and the county police evacuated approximately 58 students and staff out of the Dragun building who were attending class or using a study hall.
