James Robert Steele, 51, died on Monday, July 8, 2013. He graduated from Severna Park High School and attended the University of Maryland College Park. James worked in the Annapolis and Washington, DC area in the hospitality and food industry for many years and lived in Washington, DC for many years. Keith Ziegler, 49, a resident of Rosedale, died suddenly at his home due to a house fire on July 7, 2013. Keith was born on February 4, 1964 in Baltimore and was raised in Catonsville, Columbia, Severna Park, and Glen Arm. (From Barranco and Sons)

Mary B. Scott, a 50-year resident of Severna Park, passed peacefully on June 30, 2013 at the Nursing Care Center of the Oak Crest Retirement Community in Parkville after a lengthy illness. Mary Lou married Donald M. Scott in 1953. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Severna Park and settled in the community of Ben Oaks. Here they spent many happy years sailing on the Severn and swimming in Scott's Pond, Donald's dream which many of the community residents helped him bring to life. (From Barranco and Sons)
