Hundreds Attend Funeral for Pasadena Teen

Around 400 friends and family members attended the funeral of Kara R. Micciche Monday afternoon at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Kara died last week after she and her boyfriend, 19-year-old Sean Snyder of Severna Park, were as they were crossing Ritchie Highway near a carnival. Snyder was last reported to be in stable condition.

According to Senior Pastor Dr. George E. Black, Kara was an organ donor and seven people received her organs.

"She had an opportunity to share a part of herself to help others," said Associate Pastor Dr. John B. Warther.

Her caring nature was something that people said they will remember about the teen.

"Kara was my best friend, my cousin, my other half," said Kara's cousin, Darrell Healy. "She was one of the most beautiful, caring and loving girls you'll ever meet. I never realized how unbelievably amazing my cousin was, and I wish that I would have spent a little bit more time with her."

A former principal also had kind words to say.

"Kara was one of those students who loved living more than learning," said Principal Ruth Colross of St. Paul's Lutheran Church & School, where Kara was a student. "She was loved by students, teachers, child care workers, secretaries and the principal. We wanted the best for her and we all knew that she loved us as much as we loved her."

Kara's friends and family are maintaining a memorial Facebook page for her where visitors can pay their respects.
