James Schuyler: James Allen Schuyler, 75, of Halethorpe, MD died at his home on Oct. 10, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer.

James was born to his parents, James Allen and Mildred Virginia (Schriver) Schuyler on Oct. 15, 1936 in Baltimore. He was the first child of seven. He attended Jacobsville Elementary, George Fox Junior High, and Glen Burnie High School.

Mr. Schuyler was first employed as a rigger at the Bethlehem Steel Key Highway Shipyard. He later served as a Baltimore County Policeman from 1964-1967, before becoming a Crane Supervisor for the Maryland Port Administration, where he was employed from 1967 to 1992. After his retirement, James became a consultant instructor for ILA/USMX at the Maritime Institute in Linthicum.

James was a Maryland magician and clown. He loved to read, play music on his guitar, and spend time with his family. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

James was the husband of Marie Theresa (Lucas) Schuyler since 1956 and is survived by his children, James, Wayne and Diana and their spouses, Karen, June and James Conti; his brother Glen; his sisters, Juanita Calendine, Jean Hause and Janet Jackson; his grandchildren, James, Christina, Jonathan, Joshua, Kia, Robert and Faith of Essex, Rebecca and Elizabeth Schuyler of Pasadena, and Jason and Angela Conti of Glen Burnie. In heaven, he will join his parents, his brothers, David and John, and his grandson, D’Angelo Schuyler.
