Barranco Obituary: Ellen Marie Gatton

Ellen Gatton: Ellen Marie Gatton, 84, a resident of Severna Park, died on Oct. 3, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.

She was born on June 11, 1928 in Richwood, WV and came to Arnold, MD (Pines on the Severn) in the mid 1950s. During the late 1950s, she met and married John Thomas Gatton and has lived in Severna Park ever since.

Ellen was a homemaker and was active with the Ladies of the Elks #2482 in Severna Park, MD. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan. She enjoyed watching the old westerns and television game shows.

Ellen thoroughly enjoyed eating crabs and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Gatton, who died in 2005. She is survived by her three sons, John Parks of Severna Park, Thomas Gatton of Preston, MD, and Charles Gatton of Arnold; five grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
