Chatting with SPHS Field Hockey Senior Katie Jensen

The senior field hockey player is also involved with National Honor Society.

Patch stopped by the Severna Park varsity field hockey practice and spoke with senior Katie Jenson, 17, about her field hockey career, life at SPHS and her plans for the future.

: What is your favorite Severna Park field hockey memory?
Katie Jensen:
Probably when we won states last year. It was just really nice because it was Shelton’s 20th and it was like we carried on the legacy. It was cool.

Severna Park Patch: After winning the Maryland 4A field hockey championship last year, what are your expectations for this season?
Jensen:
States hopefully and that we all push ourselves to be better and do the best we can.

Severna Park Patch: What other groups or activities do you participate in at Severna Park High School?
Jensen:
I am in National Honor Society and that’s really the only club I am in.

Severna Park Patch: What was your favorite class at Severna Park?
Jensen:
My favorite class would probably be AP Physics and Mr. Hopkins teaches that and he is a really good teacher. And he recently won award for his teaching.

Severna Park Patch: What are you plans after high school?
Jensen:
Definitely college, but I am not sure where. I think I’ll definitely play club field hockey but I am not sure if I want to play in college or not. I want to major in pre-vet or biology.
