Catching Up With 'Pippin' Star Ben Weinberg

The Severna Park High junior is playing Lewis in the Catonsville Youth Theatre's production of "Pippin Junior."

Patch stopped by Severna Park High School to talk with a few drama students participating in the Catonsville Youth Theatre’s production of "Pippin Junior."

Junior Ben Weinberg is playing Lewis in the production, which involves seven Severna Park High students.

Pasadena Patch: How long have you been participating in drama and what are a few productions you have participated in?
Ben Weinberg:
Three years. Footloose, Romeo and Juliette, Grease and Fiddler on the Roof.

Pasadena Patch: What is your favorite part about being in Pippin Junior?
Weinberg:
I like my cast mates because they are all really funny and I have a lot of fun at practice.

Pasadena Patch: What was one of your favorite roles you have played in a production?
Weinberg:
Probably Sonny in Grease. I liked getting to make all these smart and sarcastic jokes.

Pasadena Patch: What else do you like to do besides drama?
Weinberg:
I love to draw and I like to go running.

Pasadena Patch: What is one of you favorite shows you have ever seen?
Weinberg:
Godspell on Broadway. I saw it this past May. It was really phenomenal. It was an all-star cast and the effects were great. They really interacted with the audience.
