Dine Out to Benefit the SPCC

The Severna Park Community Center is participating in Restaurant Rave.

If you’re in need of an excuse to skip the cooking and head out for dinner, the Severna Park Community Center (SPCC) is giving you one.

SPCC is participating in Restaurant Rave for the next 12 months. You can join the community center with a night out to dinner and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the SPCC.

Restaurant Rave began in July at Café Mezzanotte, and more than 30 people attended the kickoff event.

According to the SPCC, each restaurant is choosing a different way to make donations. Cafe Mezzanotte donated 15 percent of the bill of anyone eating dinner on the designated night that indicated they were with SPCC. On August 13, Brian Boru will have a special SPCC menu that costs $25, $10 of which will go to the SPCC.

The community center is rewarding community members who dine out to help fundraise. Restaurant Rave participants can pick up a sticker book and get a sticker for each event they attend. Each time you accumulate six stickers you will receive a $10 gift certificate to the SPCC.

Gift certificates can be used for anything from swimming lessons, dance classes, room rentals, or fitness center admission. If you attend all 12 events, you will be entered into a drawing for a larger gift certificate.

Here’s a rundown of some upcoming Restaurant Rave events:

  • August 13 at Brian Boru
  • September 9 at Woodfire
  • October 5 will be the annual spaghetti dinner
  • November (date to be determined) Chad’s BBQ
