Tai Chi/Qigong for Health Workshop

Discover how this ancient, low-impact form of exercise promotes joint health, improves flexibility and strengh; improves balance and helps prevent falls helps with arthritis, blood pressure, diabetes and chroic conditions such as fibromyalgia; and increases bone density.  Tai Chi is said to regulate the central nervious system and reduces stress, improves health, and increases longevity.  The first part of the workshop will be a discussion about health benefits of tai chi and then you will have the opportunity to practice basic tai chi movements.  You have the option of staying seated for all or part of the workship (we encourage you to stay whithin your comfort zone).  This workshop is suitable for all levels of fitnes.   The instructor, Billy Greer is a nationally-recognized, certified Chen-style Tai Chi teacher who has trained with some of the top tai chi masters in the world.  He is also certified to teach "Tai Chi for Arthritis" by Dr. Paul Lam and the National Arthritis Foundation.  He is the owner of Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi in Arnold, MD.
