Ballet Theatre of Maryland Opens its 36th Season Friday, Oct. 18th at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts

Ballet Theatre of Maryland performs Beauty and the Beast Opening Night Friday, Oct. 18th at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts 7:30pm

On the first destination of the Journey to Enchanted Lands audience members will be mesmerized by BTM's performance of Beauty and the Beast.  Beauty enters a castle where nothing is as it seems, and in her selfless way engages the Beast, breaks the hideous spell, and helps him reveal himself for the prince that he truly is.  Meagan Helman, BTM's Ballet Mistress, in the lead role of Beauty brings a flawless interpretation of Beauty's inner qualities.  And Calder Taylor moves audiences with his transformation by Beauty's love.

There are three performance times: Opening Night Friday, Oct. 18th at 7:30pm, Saturday, Oct.19th at 7:00pm, and Sunday, Oct. 20th at 2pm.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.balletmaryland.org and by calling 410.224.5644.  Subscriptions accepted through Oct. 31st by calling 410.263.8289.  Phone payments: Visa, MasterCard, Amex.
