BLOG: Easy Summer Reading

The first day of summer begins today!!  Tons of books are now being downloaded on personal Kindle's and Nook's and our local library book reservations probably have long wait times for the popular novels.

A friend of mine suggested that perhaps there are men's book clubs in the area. If you belong to such a club and would like to talk about books your club reads, it might just help a guy out there looking for a great novel for their upcoming vacation. This is a great platform to find that perfect summer book.

Women tend to meet for book club more frequently than men and sharing is much more common.  Someone might disagree and there probably are book clubs that men belong to, but sharing might not be something they easily do.  

Here are some suggestions for men:  Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson; Also some great nonfiction books a guy would have difficulty putting down: Marine One by James Huston; American Assasin by Vince Flynn; and Early Warning by Michael Walsh

Our two books for June (although I was unable to attend one of the meetings) were The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey and Then Came You by Jennifer Weiner. I must confess I did not read The Snow Child, so I will be playing catch up this summer.
